ok--
so last night at about midnight, i was writing my weekly post, but only a short one to say that i would be postponing a real post until today.
i was tired, and my computer was whining about a low battery.
but before i could click the post button, the computer went dead and i went to bed. (it rhymed!)
so... i'll write later.
off to my brother's convocation. at 8 am. who planned that?!

oh what a weekend (with pictures of my birthday).
hello everyone!
I was walking around today, and I thought "hmmm... why does this day feel weird? I feel somehow... incomplete." and then I remembered. of course, it was because I didn't write my thursday blog post!

soooooooooooooo...... let's see... where can I begin? oh! at the beginning!
so, after my last post, last friday morning, sean came and picked me up and drove me to farrer elementary school for my last day of tutoring there. They were doing Utah state testing, so I didn't have much to do. Except, before testing, they did morning math, and they were learning about equivalent fractions. So all the boys sat in the back, of course, and they were learning about how in order to have an equivalent fraction, you have to be able to multiply the top and bottom numbers by the same number. so, the teacher had done about 4 different examples, and then she was saying "ok, so if I eat 4/12 of this chocolate bar, what's the equivalent fraction answer pablo?" and he looks up and concentrates for a second and says "... a circle?" ... completely seriously. I wanted to laugh so bad, but the teacher didn't seem amused. so then she fills in the top with a 1, and asks him: "what will the bottom number be pablo?" and he looks, and concentrates for a second and says "the answer?" ... I wanted to laugh again. he was sooo not doing it to be funny. and she had to explain "well, yes, it will be the answer. but what will the number be?" it was funny. oh elementary school. silly children.
so yes. then my mom picked me up and brought me to class in the HFAC so I didn't have to try to walk from center street to the HFAC in 30 minutes. then it was friday afternoon and school was out! and I was so excited!

I went home and took a long nap, and then the ward was having an activity which involved free food from costa vida and then a trip to divine comedy at the JSB.
sooo... my roommates that went (katie was out of town and ashley was too...) were with a group of people that I generally don't hang out with, so I kinda stuck onto katie from 2013 and we just hung around. then we went to the comedy show, and I sat with my FHE sisters. our ward had a ton of extra tickets so I managed to get two for arrian and ryan to come. this usher nazi girl tried to take away the seats I was trying to save for them so that people who came in could sit down. but... I had tickets to account for the seats. it wasn't just like I wanted two extras for my change purse. ("of course not dear, that seat's for my change purse.")
so I managed to save the seats, which was good, because it would have been kind of sad if I had said "yeah, you can come to divine comedy with me! oh, but you have to sit over there in that corner, and you have to sit over there between those two weird people... and I'll sit here, next to these other people. See you after the show!" so
I was glad that the usher nazi didn't take away my seats. it was a close call though.
so then we went to arrian's apartment to watch a movie. arrian fell asleep-- aww poor guy. he was tired. other than that, it was a surprising evening. but good surprising ... ;)
then, saturday! on saturday I had to go see the queen in salt lake city.
it's a movie.
but I like to let people take a few seconds to wonder what I'm talking about. ... the queen of... england? well, yes, just in movie form. but it's much more exciting to say, snootily, "well, I'm off to see the queen." as if it's an every day occurrence and we're old pals. so I went to see that in salt lake with my mom and older sister. we learned not to trust google maps that day.

then I came back here and went on a double date with ryan (this is arrian's friend-- remember?), and then katie (from 2013, not my roommate) and arrian. we went to The Gateway in SLC and then to the airport to watch planes land (which was... pretty crazy; don't be fooled by how tame it sounds.) and then we watched a movie. it was a late night/ early morning, but it was pretty fabulous. very fun. and... I thought it was a successful date. but I don't suppose I really have a good history with these things, so I don't really know. I don't know if I'll officially be "in a relationship" before I leave for the summer. I suppose probably not, but I guess we'll find out soon. because I'm leaving on May 2nd, which I now I have some mixed feelings about. Bah.
then church on sunday. sunday was an interesting day. neither good nor bad, just interesting. came home, took a nap. then katie FINALLY came home from her friend's wedding and I got to tell her all about my weekend! it's hard going through a weekend like that and having no roommate to talk to! so it was nice to have her back (:
thennnn.. monday was the last day of five of my classes. it was wonderful. there's nothing like the feeling you get when school is ending. so then I... went to FHE and watched fantasia. I forgot how relatively cool fantasia is. and then I thought... fantasia is like old school baby einstein. weird.
anyway.
soooo then on tuesday, I had to go to my last book of mormon class at 8 o clock in the morning. HURRAH!!! I managed to get through this semester, only missing ONE 8 o clock class. ONE! I think I deserve a medal. or a trophy. or both. you know, feel free to be creative.

anyway. so then I came home and slept away most of the rest of the day, but I went volunteering at the elementary school at 1. the more I volunteer, the more I think how hilarious it would be to teach elementary school. I tutor this little boy who doesn't really like to converse with me. but then we were sitting there and there's this silence. he looks at me. "So... this is the last time you're coming?" "Yup." Silence again. "Soo... I have a question." "Ok." Longer silence than the other two combined. "So... how do you get your teeth so white?"
I just had to smile and giggle a little bit. Especially because... I've been using Crest White Strips lately. HAH. I had been wondering if anyone noticed-- I guess this 7 yr old did. So I told him. And then he was talking about how his brother had those and how he wanted them and how he brushed his teeth twice a day and they're still yellow and how I have pretty teeth and he wants his teeth to be white like mine. Mind you, this kid is 7 and has perfectly white teeth. I told him he'd have to wait until he got all his adult teeth and got braces before he could probably get the whitening strips (hoping to discourage him from going home and begging his mother for them for the next five months.) . He said "Well, these teeth are kinda wiggly." and before I could turn away, he proceeded to shove his fingers in his mouth and push around his two teeth on either side of his front teeth. I hate loose teeth. Let me just say that now. I don't know how I'm going to manage as a mother because watching kids wiggle teeth makes my stomach turn. It is so disgusting. Of course, not wanting to hurt this 7 yr old's feelings, I pretended to be excited for him and tried to hide my horrification from him. (Horrification apparently isn't a word-- blogspot underlined it in red. Hmmm...oh well.)

anyway. he was a cute kid. I'm sad I won't see him anymore. I wrote him a card, and he ripped it out of my hand and excitedly asked "What is this?!?" but I told him he had to wait to open it until I left; it was a secret. so he hid it in the back of his folder and explained "I have to hide it so the other kids don't get sad that they didn't get one." Hah. Awww. Except, that kinda made me feel bad for not bringing cards for the other kids, but oh well.
then katie had a concert, so I went to that and then I took her out to ice cream, because that's the dickerson way of doing concerts. and it just happened to work out that I was in quite a mood for ice cream.
sooo then we came back and stayed up for a while and then went to bed. then I got up on wednesday and had to get up to go to Freshman Academy Peer Mentoring training for next fall. I learned how to clock in and out on the little machine-ee thing. I felt quite high-tech and important. "Excuse me, coming through. I must swipe my card on that fancy machine. If you don't mind..."

So then I learned how to check my freshman academy email. I got my summer reading assignments, and I found out I get paid to read over the summer. Not gonna complain about that. But, I also found out I have to be back here to start training on the 20th of august. ... school doesn't start until sept. 4... and I have to be here before august 20th. to go to training 8am-4 pm every day for like 12 days! bah! that's a lot of training! but hopefully by that time of the summer I'll be ready to be back here, which I probably will be.
I had to get my picture taken too. So it wasn't even like I could just roll out of bed. No. I had to be awake, ready to have my picture taken. But it was ok though, cuz then I ran into Arrian and felt better about not having just rolled out of bed. It's kind of awkward to run into people you know when you look like crap and know it. (Like that morning in the SWKT a couple weeks ago when I wrote about sitting down randomly next to Ryan). So I was glad I actually got ready that morning.
anyway.
so then I took my social work online open note final. I got a 98% again. The class average was an 89. honestly. it's open book! But anyway. Then Ryan and Arrian came over for a bit in the afternoon, and then came back for a bit around 10pm. It's fun having boys to hang out with. But they're studying a lot this week, so that's kinda sad; especially because Katie and I have things to do, but we only have like 1 final each that will require a bit of studying. And, of course, as procrastinators, we haven't started studying yet. I'm glad I don't have 6 har
d-core study-intensive finals. It's nice. I was going to write my biology-take-home-essay-final today, but I kinda didn't. Maybe I'll have better luck with it tomorrow.
So then Katie and I went to bed late last night and got up this morning to go meet Holly for lunch. Holly was our peer mentor for Freshman Academy last year (... she has the job I'm going to have! Weird!) and she invited us to her baby shower, but we couldn't go, so we took her out to lunch (at the MOA cafe, which is actually really good, though pricey) and gave her her gift. We picked out the willow tree figurine called "New Life". It's the one of a man holding a baby in his arms, and a woman looking over his shoulder. It's really cute. If I have babies (which I'm assuming I will... though not in the near future. but I suppose this is assuming I get married... which I hope will happen too, but I suppose you never know...) I want that figurine. Or I at least want my husband to hold our baby so I can look over his shoulder like the figurine does. :P I'm strange. I know.
anyway. it was cute. I think she really liked it, so that was good.
then we came home and wasted time. I saw the emperor's new groove today.
also a movie. (but wouldn't it be funny if it wasn't?)
most of you are probably more familiar with IT than the queen, so it probably doesn't make for as good of a joke. but oh well. then I took a nap and went over to my sister's house to try on a coat she ordered that is mine. and then I came back here and hung around and wasted a bunch of time doing nothing and talking to katie when I should have been doing my bio essay. as i said though, maybe tomorrow. and either tomorrow or saturday I shall be babysitting for my sister. not sure when. so... maybe ryan/arrian will call and katie and I will do something with them. I don't know. I suppose katie and I could call them, but with no car, it's kind of hard to make a good case to convince people to come over. :P
anyway. I think I've babbled quite a bit. so I should probably stop.
I think this is one of my longest entries! so... I thought I'd post some birthday pictures, so you at least have something to look at while you're reading all this typed stuff. all the pictures are of my "birthday gathering". I have provided a guide to viewing these pictures, as follows.
Picture #1) Ryan, Matthew, Arrian [Matthew is also Arrian's friend. And he happens to be in my bio class. Or was... since school is out now.]
Picture #2) I tried to take a picture of us, and then right as I was pressing the button, Arrian's face came out of nowhere and freaked me out. Apparently this picture is what I look like when "freaked out"
Picture #3) Mike, Me, Zack Bomsta (like Gangsta. We make fun of him for that all the time... but you have to admit it's a pretty cool last name.) They're in my ward and moved in this semester.
Picture #4) Sean Llewellyn (ex-boyfriend) and me.
Picture #5) Ashley (roommate), Matthew, Me, Arrian, Ryan
Picture #6) Ryan. Taking a picture of himself. I'm not sure how he got my camera. But look! oooOOOOooo-- you can see his pretty blue eyes!
Picture #7) Me and Arrian. Arrian apparently also got hold of my camera, because I have about 7 pictures he took of himself... but I neglected to post them. p.s.- I actually don't look gross in this picture! Wow!
Picture #8) Ashley, Me, Katie
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I hope I have a wonderful weekend too! (;
I apologize for this being so long. but really, I was just in the mood.
so until another ridiculously long writing mood strikes me,

the last of the thursday posts
hello everyone!
i'm not going to write very much today because of the sole fact that i'm lazy and tired. ok-- those are two facts. anyway.
1) soooo... i got an 80% on my bio test on 22 chapters. the class average was a 73. sooo looks like mollie will be getting an A in bio this semester. bwahahaha.
2) i found out i get 2 shirts and a jacket for my freshman academy job. that's kind of exciting.
3) i have to go to one session of training on apr. 18... at 9 am... and get my picture taken. that's the first reading day after classes end, so i'm sure i'm going to be so excited about getting up early. our real training is in the fall before school starts again.
4) i am 100% jealous of megan, who is home and doing nothing right now. well, actually i hear she got a job at denny's so... i guess she's working. but she's in ct. and not going to school. so i am jealous.
5) only three days of class left for me!
6) dick cheney is speaking at commencement here-- lots of hoopla about that. annoying, if you ask me.
7) i have no more school work to do, except study for finals.
8) i only have one scheduled final (which will require a bit of studying), and only two (one of them is open book and the other will require about 2 hours of studying at the most) that i have to take in the testing center. i have one final that's open book, open notes, online. i have one final that's a take-home essay.
9) i want to go home!
10) i register for classes next week
11) this is my last thursday-morning-between-classes post.
12) i turned in a 12 page paper yesterday (granted, one page was the title page, and two pages were bibliography, but the body of the paper was still 8.5 pages. ick)
13) i scrapbooked last night since i have no more school work. it was fun.
14) i think i'm gonna go find somewhere to nap before my class at 11.
have a good week all! i don't know when i'll post again!
-mollie

13) i scrapbooked last night since i have no more school work. it was fun.
14) i think i'm gonna go find somewhere to nap before my class at 11.
have a good week all! i don't know when i'll post again!

a little update
hello everyone!
i won't post too much this week, since i pretty much wrote a novel last week. i just have a few things to say
1) my life is ridiculous. it just is. completely absurd, really.
2) i am completely jealous of my sister who is done with school while i still have 2.5 weeks.
3) there seems to be a sneezing competition in the computer lab today. this guy behind me sneezed three times, and then right after he stopped, a guy on the other side of the room sneezed once. and then the guy behind me sneezed two more times, and the guy up front sneezed three times. who will win?!?
4) I GOT THE PEER MENTORING JOB FOR FRESHMAN ACADEMY for next year! i was excited-- hopefully it won't be too overwhelming to work and go to school at the same time. on the bright side, i'll be bringing in some money (:
5) i am now officially 19 years old, and my family knows how to do birthdays better than anyone else around here.
6) i have a bio test on 22 chapters of stuff tomorrow.
7) my biology professor (after this test) is going to split the class in half by grades and give the top half an A.
8) considering the grades i've gotten this term so far, i am feeling little motivation to study for the biology exam, knowing even if i get a D (or high F) i'll still get an A in the class
9) after previously mentioned 19th birthday, i have enough candy to last me a few years i think.
10) i like candy though.
well, that's all for now. i would apologize for this entry being so short, but i think most of you will find that pleasing, so no apology for you.
