i haven't written in a while-- like, a loooonnnngggg while. In fact, so much time has passed that will no longer says "don't rip your pants" as his standard good-bye, which he did for quite some time after the pants incident.
i don't know what to tell you- school got out on april 21-ish, and then i was officially a junior in college. i went to kent's graduation on april 22 which was fun as far as i remember. the next week i started working full time at Freshman Academy- 8 hours a day. 8 hours is a long time to be sitting in one place and doing the same thing all day long. especially answering phones- oy. answering phones is exhausting, especially if you get someone who, for one reason or another, thinks all of their life problems stem from Freshman Academy and wants to tell you so.
Let's see-- what else happened. I made a cake for a co-worker's birthday, filled with jelly beans as an inside joke and let me tell you, it was marvelous and possibly the coolest thing I've done in the last year. Hopefully I will figure out how to put up the video of her cutting it open and laughing hysterically. Or at least some pictures. I'm just not on my own computer so I don't have the pictures readily available. I think I did a dang good job of frosting it to conceal the bumpiness of jelly beans!Uhhmmm... what else? This is more recent and I was trying to go in chronological order, but oh well. This past weekend someone near-drowned in my apartment complex's pool, and then later died at the hospital. It caused a hub-ub (how do you spell that word? I'm sure one of my siblings will correct me, so check the comments in a couple days...) around here.
In other (wedding) news, things have been going along with megan's wedding plans. Can any of you believe it's only 9 days from today!?! NINE days?! That's crazy-- pretty soon my spring semester is going to be over and I'm going to be going to a wedding in rexburg, moving out of my apartment, flying to CT, going to a reception, and flying to London to stay for two months! Can you believe it?! It's going to be a crazy couple of weeks and i'm really excited, but i'm also nervous and part of me is dreading it because i know i'm going to be so exhausted.

anyway- so wedding plans are coming along. erin and i got our bridesmaid dresses a couple days ago and we got shoes and purses so we're all set with that. i guess i won't post too much else about petty details because megan can do that.
but, as i was saying, my spring semester is disappearing!!!!!! there were so many things i was supposed to do, so many people i was supposed to see, so many places i was supposed to go, and so many books i was supposed to read!!!!! but working 40 hours a week sucks away a lot of my time and energy and i'm finding myself with few things checked off my "to do" list of the spring.
i'm excited for london. but i'm pretty scared to fly out of nyc by myself, spend multiple hours in the air over nothing but water, and land in a country completely foreign to me, at which point i will have to try to navigate my way to my home for the following two months. scary!
what else? erin got sworn in to the utah bar association, which was kind of exciting. as you can see on erin's blog, i have to say the ceremony/refreshments was admittedly and surprisingly a little lame! but we went out to lunch and all so it was good.

erin's birthday was yesterday so i planned a dinner and bought all the stuff and set the table all fancy to be ready when she got home from church along with all of us(hopefully the picture of the table is with this post). it was a nice evening.
then kyle's birthday was today, so i went to work and then went out to dinner and back to kyle's house with the family. it was a good evening too. birthdays are pretty fun. except that i had to hand-off the FHE plans for the night because i am the FHE "mom" and we were supposed to be having a "family dinner" and then we were going to make cookies to bring to the bishopric's homes to say thank-you for a great semester. i didn't get to go, but i heard it went well, so that's good! the picture is of erin with the cake she made for kyle! pretty fancy!
i've been thinking in stories for the last month or so, but i can't think of any of them right now to write to you all, which is sad because i'm sure you'd rather read a coherent story than a hodge-podge of mix-matched events and tidbits. oh well for you.
in other news, my mom is here visiting until the 21st when we all fly home (except for kyle and michael) for the CT reception. she had to come a week or so early because my grandma (her mom) had a stroke and has been in the hospital. she got moved to a rehab center in town, so that has been a stressful adventure for the family, but it's been nice to have my mom here-- even though she stole my car when she got here. that part wasn't so cool. but i know if she read that she'd say "YOUR car, mollie?" and i would immediately be reminded that i wasn't the one who bought it. ok touche.

so my mom's here. my dad called yesterday and informed us that our church building (in the picture) in cromwell, ct was vandalized over the weekend with obscenities and other derogatory scribbling. how nice. it's so nice to know that people don't have anything better to do than "hate on" the mormons in town. ooooooOOOooo you're sooooo cool. oh well- what are you gonna do?
uhhh what else? on saturday i went to my coworker's apartment to make breakfast and three of us ate together with one of our's roommates. it was a nice morning, but it sucked up my sleeping-in time, which kinda stunk.
on sunday we went to church at the Utah State Hospital, which is always an adventure. They have branches there and they assign the student wards to attend periodically and yesterday was our turn.
uhhmm... EFY students are taking over campus these days. They had two weeks of EFY and then this week I thought there was a break, but it turns out this week is soccer camp! That's ok though- I'd rather have the soccer kids who are mostly adolescent boys who keep to Helaman field than the EFY students who overtake every open space on campus.
Ok-- I don't think I can think of anything else, so I guess I'll end the lovely, (probably super boring) update.
Can't wait to come home and visit in a week-ish!!
-mollie

p.s.- if the pictures aren't up yet, they'll come soon.
